The Center for Community Inclusion and Reflective Collaboration (CIRC), co-directed by Drs. Kathryn Sabella and Elizabeth Thomas, is a collaboration between the Transitions to Adulthood Center for Research at UMass Chan Medical School and the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion.
We conduct cutting-edge research and knowledge translation activities focused on the unique needs of young adults with serious mental health conditions from marginalized and underserved backgrounds. Our work prioritizes BIPOC individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, those from rural areas, and those involved in the child welfare or criminal justice systems, with the goal of significantly advancing community inclusion and participation.
